No assembly required. **Q: What is the size of the opening for the vegetables?** A: you can put vegetable with diameter 2.7 inch into food chute **Q: can i use it to cut block cheese?** A: I wouldn’t think so. Not if it is even a little soft. Would get mushy and smear all over the plastic & the blade. You would never get it clean. If it was hard, I think it would just crumble. **Q: Does it slice potatoes thin enough for air-fryer chips?** A: Yes I think so. We’ve actually only sliced sweet potatoes so I have to push pretty hard. Just don’t push so hard on the potatoes since they’re softer.
