Review: Ultra flexible wire, 200C, great value! - Very happy with this wire set -- great value, and it's what the listing says it is. Be sure you know what you're buying. This is ultra flexible, with many super-fine strands and silicone rubber insulation marked 200C (higher than PVC but lower than PTFE). The fine strands (150 of them, but I didn't count!) can be a bit of a challenge when crimping contacts... make sure no microscopic strands escape the crimp -- then it works great. The insulation is thick but soft: very easy to work with but also easily damaged if used in the wrong application. It's the right cable for routing in tight locations, since it's so willing to bend and lay flat... good for DIY drones (flexing arms or retracting legs) or making wiring harnesses that need to flex but are well protected from abrasion and pinching. For more rugged high-temp insulation, consider PTFE but it is much more difficult to work with and hard to find at a reasonable price. As noted by others, some colors are a bit off. Red is clearly orange, and blue is gray-purple. That's okay for my purposes, but maybe not if you are building to a print for assemblies that will be inspected. The velcro wraps keep each spool neat, and the box is good for organizing these spools when lots of other wire spools are around.

**Q: Does this work well for wiring audio cable jacks? Will the sound be affected?**
A: This is 24 awg (pretty thin) wire, not shielded cable or speaker wire. Usually audio cables are made of stouter stuff to make them mechanically robust. From a signal perspective, used for short (~1m) runs and modest (~10mW) power and a not too electrically noisy environment this should work ok for audio. It will probably break if abused much at all, though.

**Q: Can anybody tell me. Is the 30 gauge wire suitable to for soldering the tail motor back on to my rc helicopter?**
A: It depends on the current drawn by the motor. A 30gauge wire is rated for a max of 0.86amps

**Q: Would this wire work for creating gizmos and gadgets with elementary students?**
A: This wire is extremely flexible, the insulation is silicone and feels very soft and slippery.  It will strip easily with the correct tool.  When bent it will not hold any shape.  Not sure what type of projects you have in mind.  using these for breadboard connections will be fine due to the number of colors available.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A little too flexible, but it's a good set

Chose this wire mostly due to the reviews. The silicone plus stranded wire makes for really, really flexible wire. The colors are kind of pastel, and because it's silicone they're not shiny. The wire won't keep its shape at all if you try to bend it or shove it into a crease, this is good for harnesses where something else (tape or harness wrap) will keep everything together. Next time I'll use real primary wire, this was fine for a one-off but a little frustrating to ever use again.
