Review: THIS STUFF WORKS! - TLDR: consistent use of this product twice a day along with saline washes WILL shrink that nasty bump. I got my nose pierced a few times in the past and had to take it out because of the bump, that looks very similar to the one others have posted here. Finally in December 2023, I got my nose pierced and was determined to make it work. I was fine for the first couple of weeks, but then noticed that my stud was sinking into my nose. My piercer told me it would be fine to change it to a ring, so I immediately removed the stud and changed it to a ring (thankfully the ring went in with no problem). As the skin was healing, I noticed a bump forming and increased the number of times I was cleaning it with saline solution. Despite my efforts, the bump continued to grow. I tried to use rubbing alcohol to dehydrate it, but that did not work either. Finally, I decided to try tea tree oil (spoiler alert - that didn’t work too). Finally I was scouring the internet and thought I would check desertcart for products made for this issue. I stumbled upon this oil and the reviews + price point had me sold. I continued my saline soaks and used this oil twice a day - once in the morning and once before bed. A couple of days later, I woke up with dried blood around the piercing and was concerned that the oil just destroyed it completely (I was being dramatic). By the next day, I noticed a significant reduction in the size of the bump and a couple more days later, it completely shrunk. The pigmentation remained, but I continued to use the oil. I think I got overconfident and became lazy with the saline soaks. A couple of days ago, I noticed the smallest bump starting to reappear. I restarted the saline soaks with continual use of the oil, and today, it’s gone! I will continue to use this product, hopefully to help combat the appearance of the hyperpigmentation and prevent future bumps. 10/10 would recommend to anyone struggling with this issue! My twice a day nose routine consist of; 1/washing & rinsing my face(including nose & piercing) with an unscented freshly made seamoss soap bar 2/spraying my home made saline solution directly on the piercing are(above & below) 3/spraying saline solution directly on a qtip (it's completely wet before I apply so I won't leave residue) and wiping nose ring and area around it 4/dip another qtip in the oil and apply above and below piercing(I only rub it in a bit when I am leaving for work, night time I don't). The bump in my nose has shrunk but didn't go completely down like the one on my nose. What I eat and what I put on my skin has helped the progress to healing too!(I notice(d) I slow or slightly reverse progress when I eat highly processed stuff). I didn't see rapid results like some posted. However, what made me purchase the product was seeing ppl had results in general, good ones. After you soak and pat the piercing dry, then apply a tiny bit of the oil to your piercing bump (keloid). Also - make sure your jewelry is titanium, as all other metals (including gold and stainless steel) will leach a bit of nickel, causing irritation. My ears were pierced in my teens, a long time ago. A bump developed in the right lobe and was excruciatingly painful when I inserted an earring. I stopped wearing earrings for at least 20 years because of the discomfort. Six weeks ago my ears were repierced. The left lobe is fine and completely healed. The right lobe, because of the proximity to the existing bump, is still tender and a bit painful when the earring is inserted. It's become angry looking, red and tender. I saw this advertised here in the "customers also bought" portion of the page while I was looking for earrings. Read all the reviews and, for the price, ordered it. Wasn't expecting a lot. I've had the bump for most of my life but I was willing to try anything so that I could wear some of my beautiful (and expensive) earrings. Received it today and applied it to the bump area. Three hours later the redness is gone along with the tenderness. I swear it's already shrinking! I am simply delighted.
