The squeegee system is phonemonal! - Bought this kit about a year ago and didn’t like it, but I finally used it more and love it! The handle for the cable took a few tries before I found the sweet spot to latch it every time, but now it’s great. This is a great all-in-one kit; everything you need to clean your firearms. Not only does it have everything, including a handy mat, but a place for all your cleaning gear in one kit. The “Rem” all-in bore cleaner does a great job and the squeege is unbelievable - one pull and squeeky clean; I love it. Very quick to clean your firearms. Review: Excellent Cleaning and Maintenance kit! - Incredibly handy kit! I keep my Winchester Punch Set, Wheeler Hammer and Punch set as well as a Winchester 51 piece screw driver set inside this case! Love how it keeps everything organized. Gun cleaning mat has velcro to fold up and attach to the pocket it gets stored in! All around great buy! Just wish the price was a little less... I feel like it's a little over priced however desertcart was the cheapest I could find it! ## Features - Rem Squeeg-E removes all dislodged barrel debris in just one pass - Sturdy, coated Rem Flex Rod Cables help protect barrel finish - Machine-washable Rem Pad (28"" x 12") velcro'ed in the bag protects surface and stores easily - Rem All In Bore Cleaner offers high-performance on carbon, plastic, lead and copper fouling - Essential Tools: 2 large cleaning brushes, brush revolver adapter and gun cloth ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Item Package Dimensions L x W x H | 11.5 x 9.1 x 7.5 inches | | Package Weight | 1.09 Kilograms | | Item Dimensions LxWxH | 11.5 x 8.63 x 6 inches | | Item Weight | 0.31 Pounds | | Brand Name | REMINGTON | | Country of Origin | United States | | Warranty Description | Manufacturer Warranty | | Model Name | 17096 | | Material | Synthetic | | Suggested Users | unisex-adult | | Manufacturer | Interstate Arms Corp | | Part Number | 17096 | | Included Components | Remington Accessories 17096 Squeeg-E Cleaning System with Range Bag | ## Images ![Remington Hunting Cleaning and Maintenance Kit - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61HsLw6mMvL.jpg) ![Remington Hunting Cleaning and Maintenance Kit - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61cwJKmGc4L.jpg) ![Remington Hunting Cleaning and Maintenance Kit - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61bddMF5n9L.jpg) ![Remington Hunting Cleaning and Maintenance Kit - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71cJe7OnBAL.jpg) ![Remington Hunting Cleaning and Maintenance Kit - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71lWF3ImBeL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Are the brushes/squeegees engraved with the caliber they are for?** A: Yes. My set are engraved with caliber markings. **Q: Does this kit have instructions for people new to shooting, hunting, and firearms maintenance?** A: Yes, it has some basic information and instructions. You can also find information on the web a number of places. Basically you run a wet patch (with solvent/bore cleaner) thru the bore and wait 5 minutes. Then put the bush thru a couple of times. Follow with wet patch and then several dry patches. When dry patch comes out reasonable clean, then you are ready to run thru a patch with oil. That's it. **Q: How well would this work on a Mosin nagant?** A: Nagant rifles have a nominal bore diameter of .300" or 7.62mm. I have a 1917 Tula and use .3006 bore brushes with great results. **Q: maybe i missed it but does this kit come with a bore brush for a 30 06?** A: Yes it does have a brush for your 30 06. The same bush used for the 308, 30 30, 300 win.mag. etc, as they are all 30 cal weapons. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good concept with ample storage. I feel like it's a little over priced however Amazon was the cheapest I could find it! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (ALMOST) EVERYTHING YOU NEED *by A***T on April 25, 2013* The most useful thing from the beginning was the range bag itself. The bag is sturdy, the zippers are sure, and there is plenty of room for ammunition, magazines, "eyes and ears," and small tools. The bag contains wire brushes and bore squeegees in multiple calibers, short (handgun), medium (carbine), and long (rifle) wires with a removable handle to pull the squeegee through the barrel, drop cloth, chamois, two other brushes (look like oversized toothbrushes), and small bottles of Rem-Oil and (thick!) bore cleaner. I was able to clean my upper receiver with minimal fuss, but the barrel was a slightly different story. I get that you are supposed to use the squeegee to clean the bore, but you cannot attach the the wire brushes to the pull wires and the kit includes no patches (I guess you have to give the bore cleaner plenty of time to run down). If either were present, you could clean everything right out of the bag. In any case, the kit made my life a lot easier, so it gets a great (albeit not the highest) rating. CORRECTION: It IS possible to connect the wire brushes to one of the pull wires, so I was able to scrape out some of the fouling inside my barrel. After scraping, I soaked a patch in the bore cleaner, inserted it into the barrel and pulled the patch through with a squeegee to really clean the barrel (repeating the process with Rem-Oil to lubricate). This really seemed to do a good job. A nice set of instructions would have been nice, but I suppose that's what the Internet is for. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/1562393-remington-hunting-cleaning-and-maintenance-kit](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/1562393-remington-hunting-cleaning-and-maintenance-kit) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
