**Q: If I'm planning to wire this with a tweeter, do I need to buy a crossover?**
A: The crossover would really be for the tweeter. It protects the tweeter from low frequencies. The woofer doesn't need a crossover.

**Q: Are they made with plastic or paper material? And do they distort at high volumes?**
A: They are a silicon type material and they seem to hold up at higher volumes. Keep in mind that these are low cost speakers, they may not hold up in a high performance sound system. They are definitely an improvement over stock speakers in an old Sony cabinet.

**Q: What would you recommend as the high pass cross-over point on these speakers? i.e. frequencies below this point should go to a dedicated sub-woofer?**
A: Typically 80 Hz.

**Q: What is the mounting bolt circle diameter? Or what is the distance between the mounting holes (either diagonally or on one side)?**
A: These replaced my woofers in my Advent II speakers from the 1990s. They sound great. Diagonally is 7.75". Side to side (and up down) is 5.5".
