Another great Gifennse purchase! - with update
This is my second pair of dress shoes from Gifennse, my first pair being a pair of black captoe oxfords. I was so impressed with that pair that I knew I had to get a pair of brown ones from them when the time came for new shoes. This model isn't identical to the first pair I got, but is very similar. This one has a slightly more intricate stitching pattern on the side and has an embedded rubber ridged grip on the bottom of the shoe. However, the quality of the stitching and leather are once again top notch. For this price range, you might be lucky to purchase something from Florsheim, Madden, etc., or maybe even a heavily discounted Cole Haan at DSW, but trust me, these are far superior in durability and quality of the materials used at this price point. Anything name brand at this price would be a lower quality sole, lining, and leather, along with most likely a cemented sole.It seems that all Gifennse dress shoes use either a Goodyear Welt or a Blake Welt to attach their soles to the upper. Both of my pairs are what appears to be Blake Welts (I would have preferred a goodyear, but I chose the styles knowing this, and the pricepoints aren't different). I haven't had either come apart to determine if they are faux blake welts, but from what I can tell, they appear to be genuine stitching. The leather is also excellent for this price range. I love the fact that the interior lining is true leather, as it conforms to my feet and prevents moisture buildup. I won't go into as in-depth of a review as my previous review, but for those in the know and that don't care about name brands and simply want a stylish pair of dress shoes made with quality materials at a sub $100 price point, these are a must to consider. My only minor con with these shoes, and I somewhat knew the risk going in based on their online pictures is the coloring of their browns. This version of brown has a lot of orange hues in it, to give it an "English Brown" or Toffee type coloring. I'm also not a huge fan of the burnt tip accents, but I know that is a matter of taste and it was clearly shown in the pictures (although slightly darker in real life). It is very hard to get a true sense of the color in pictures, and even in both pictures above with the same camera, you can see how the shoe looks drastically different based on lighting. I personally prefer a more neutral brown without accent coloring, but in all honesty, that is only a style preference. In general, if you like the styling of these shoes, you will LOVE them. Pictures honestly do not do these shoes justice regarding the quality. They are top notch genuine leather with excellent craftsmanship. Forgo the name brand and purchase these if you want quality at anywhere near this price point. If you slapped a Cole Haan label on these, they would have been twice the price. For a little bit more than a pair of faux leather Kenneth Coles or Steve Maddens, you get a quality pair of dress shoes that break in wonderfully and really step up your suit game quite a bit. Also, if you are in an environment where you wear dress shoes daily and need to be presentable while not breaking the bank, these are a must.Regarding size, this pair was true to size. The previous pair was only slightly large, maybe a half size big at the most, and even that is a little generous. I'm not sure if Gifennse has corrected their sizing, or if it is based on model, but I'm 2 for 2 with being satisfied with fitment being true to size.Update 3/25/19: Shoe has unexpectedly ripped on one shoe at the stitching near the tongue. I wear these in rotation with other dress shoes, including a black Gifennse pair that are about four months older with no issues, so this is quite unexpected. Until this rip, these were some of my favorite shoes. I wrote Gifennse and will update if they respond. I do understand that these things can happen as I had a pair of Cole Haans that the sole completely ripped from the upper on one shoe after only two weeks of use, and have never had an issue with any other Cole Haans in workmanship.Update 4/2/19: Talk about customer service! They wrote me back several times since then and stated that they would send a replacement pair without any prompting. While I was disappointed that this happened, I've never seen a company stick by shoes that were over five months old (maybe 30-90 days?). In addition, this was only one shoe from the pair (everything else about them is still going great), and the other captoe oxfords I got from Gifennse in black are doing great and four months older. They sent a followup email with tracking number. I'll update if the product doesn't arrive, but I have brought my review back to five stars. They obviously have faith and stand by their products, and prove it with timely response and replacement. Until proven otherwise, I'll chalk up the one bad shoe as a random occurrence. With the otherwise superb shoes I've experienced from them and the EXCELLENT customer service when an issue does occur, they have a long-time customer from me. I will without hesitation be purchasing additional shoes from the Gifennse brand moving forward.

Great Shoes, Great Shoe Maker!
I've don't know this shoe maker, but I will say this. These are the best fitting and most comfortable dress shoes I've ever worn. I was nervous that they would not look like their photo. When I opened the box and slid them on they felt awesome. I bought them for a banquet and they did not disappoint. I look forward to buying them in the brown the same style. As you get older you don't like to look old. They are classy and I will be trying more shoes by Gifennse in the future.

Forget the name. Top quality shoe, total modern design. Made from real leather .
I generally never buy unknown brands. I stick to what I know. J. Pliner, magnanni, cole haan. 1st , the shoe design really caught my eye. Very simple lines ,but with modern look. Leather looked and is impeccable. The insole is quality, heel and sole, as well made as any top brand. But the kicker is the price. The name however, is a different story. It sounds very "Chinese".

Great quality... be careful tho.
Ge several compliments when I wear theses shoes at work. They really look like high end dress shoes. Image is true to color. Only downside... I use a lot of hand sanitizer while working. I had a couple small drops hit the shoes and it instantly stained them. I tried polishing but didn’t work. Too bad.

Not as durable as I thought
Very nice shoes in the beginning and even today the material they are made of does not have too many creases...However, the heel on one of the shoes is starting to "peel off". The outer layer of rubber is coming undone so the shoe will probably become unusable in a couple of weeks...To me 7 months of light use should not render a shoe unusable. I was expecting at least 1.5 - 2 years out of this pair. Maybe I am too demanding for what I paid. Still not happy for now...

Handsome shoe but poor quality
I ordered these shoes size small as recommended by other reviews, but they were still too small. The shoe looks nice, though it is a little darker brown color than what is pictured. However, once I put them on and took a step it look like part of the leather was flaking off. I returned them and bought something else. Could have been just that shoe. Still gave them two stars b/c of price.

Nice But Discoloring Occurred
I bought these shoes for a wedding and they are really comfortable, true to size but I have to say that I was amazed on how in less than week of purchasing the shoes the color actually came off them. I noticed a scratch and used my finger to try and take it off then all of the sudden I noticed my finger was brown. I kept brushing the shoe with my finger and yes the color came off. I had to take it to the cobbler to get them fixed.

Great shoes.
Great dress shoe. Fit accurately. I am in my feet all day at work and I have to walk 3 city blocks in between both of my work locations. Wore them all day out of the box and felt fine. No need to break in. They look great with a formal suit or smart casual pants. The leather and soles also appear durable for the price.
