I still have probably a month in the aircast. The Ortho gave me the standard boot and at my height 5 ft 4" that was way too tall and restrictive by week 4-5 to walk 7-10k. It does provide better support and stability for the ankle, but right now at week 6 my ankle tendons don't need as much immobilization. I got the short one for avulsion fracture of the 5th metarsal. And it is great because it is lighter and doesn't hinder the calf muscle movement. The quality is as good as the standard one I got from the doc.
