**Q: Is Bissell air purifier filter 2801 a hepa filter?**
A: This particular filter is NOT a HEPA filter which is H13 or higher and atleast 99.97%.  This filter can be referred to as “hepa-type” which causes lots of confusion for buyer because of this creative wording.  
The last two filters I had purchased from this listing seem to be from a bad batch and had a slight stale odor (I tested by running the myair without the filter and no stale odor).  I have since ordered replacement filters from an offbrand on Amazon that are also H13 HEPA filter.

**Q: Is this an activated carbon filter?**
A: No, this is a 3-in-1 Replacement Filter for the MYair. This High Efficiency Filter captures 99.7% of microscopic particles as small as 0.3 microns and effectively captures unwanted allergens and odors including pollen, pet dander, dust, smoke, odors, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

**Q: Does this fit 2905A?**
A: No, you will need BISSELL part number 3389 for the 3905A MYair HUB.

**Q: in part of description, it says its high efficiency + carbon, but bissell answered someones question and said it was not hepa? which is it?**
A: This is not a true HEPA filter which are H13 and higher or atleast 99.97%.  I believe this can be referred to as “hepa-type” filters and therefore causing lots of confusion for buyers with their creative wording.  I have used the Bissell My Air with this bissell brand filter for a few years and this does improve the air quality and my allergies.  However since adding a beloved family dog, it is now necessary for me to upgrade to an air purifier that uses a true HEPA H13 filter with activated Charcoal.

So easy I changed the filter with one hand in the video above. The Bissell MyAir purifier ( so quiet on low you can't hear it, ) replacement filter from Bissell is original manufactured replacements and although they may be generic versions, I prefer to go with what I know, and so should you.
