After spending some time over at a friend's apartment playing a weekend long D&D session, my bag with all of my books and dice disappeared. I think I left it on the sidewalk and someone walked off with it. Anyhow, I’ve slowly been rebuilding my collection and when I saw these dice with dragons on them, I knew I wanted them.*What I liked*:The design is fun and fantasy-themed. A fitting addition to any fantasy role players collections (D&D or otherwise).They roll well. I don’t mean favorable numbers, just that they physically roll well on a variety of surfaces.*What I didn't like*:I’m not a huge fan of paying over $10 for one set of dice, but it’s not that much more than a regular set so it's worth it for a neat look.*The Bottom Line:*I’m glad I added these dice (as well as a couple of other similar sets). They help give my new dice collection a little more character when I roll for my, well, characters. Five stars out of five. I would totally buy these again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful, but 4-sided die is problematic *by L***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 6, 2010* Normally with a 4-sided die you read the roll based on the point that is upwards, and the numbers around each point therefore should match. However on this die they do not match, and you can have a roll that is simultaneously 2/3/4 for example depending which side you look at the upper point on. So while this dice set is absolutely gorgeous it is also useless (update: confusing) as a matching set because another 4-sided die is needed.UPDATE: It appears this designer rather than using a point's numbers or the base side's numbers chooses to have it be "whichever number appears upright" -- which could be on any corner and not the same one around. This is a very unusual (unique?) system, and not one that is by any means readily apparent to even seasoned dungeon-goers. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Nice, but read my advice. *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on July 4, 2015* These dice are nice and roll fairly evenly between high and low (tested on a basis of 50 rolls with each). The problem I have with these dice is that the D20 specifically is very hard to read, and a LOT harder to read than it appears to be in the picture. It takes anywhere between 2 to 5 seconds to discern what you rolled at a bit of a distance, that is to say, at around 2 feet, or across a table. As a DnD player, the D20 is probably the most important die in the whole batch, as every character will inevitably use it.My advice: if you are looking for a nice set of dice and are willing to sub in another D20 if need be, these may be your deal. Some D/GMs (Dungeon/Game Masters) will put up with dice that are a bit hard to read. Others won't.
