With this every time you change weights you have to take off your weights, put on spacers just perfectly, do your exercise, and then find a way to make it less destructive to your body. The biggest problem I found when you finally got it put together is when you're doing cleans or any exercise where it ends up against your forearm, especially when swinging, it would end up making it extremely sore, from all the weight essentially of the bell on your forearm essentially in one small point, where the center weight is solely touching your arm. I tried putting numerous weights together to distribute that weight, especially for cleans which was the worst of the exercises, but it did not work. Also, when you do a military press or like exercise above your shoulder the weight slips across your forearm as you push up. Unlike a normal bell that slips smoothly as you push, helping your core compensate, this jars you when it finally slips and then swings outward and then to its new resting point. I tried wrapping a small towel around it to help with this but that was garbage. I understand people trying to save money but you just can't beat a real bell. ### ⭐⭐ Yes, there are no weights *by B***T on December 25, 2010* I somehow did not quite grasp that there are no weights that come with this product. Upon reviewing my order I see now I was quite foolish to order it. But those weights in the picture look so "there" that I thought this is great and clicked away to order. I read the headline of the product to mean the weight of the handle was not included in the total weight of the kettlebell.The real problem comes in the simple solution of finding the weights that should go with this item. I went to a local sports store and did not find any weights that had a small enough diameter to fit the crossbar that holds the weights.I found the site of the seller and still was a little confused.I ended up just getting the Marcy set at the local store to get this part of the job done. The Marcy set at the local store was $79.99 and is very attractive. Also, by the time I would have purchased this item and found and bought any weights at some store, it would be quite an expensive item.The seller would probably increase his profits by making the picture more clear and then offering the weights separately. They said on their site they hate charging the customer for the shipping for the weights.Having said all this, if you are willing to go the last mile with this product I think you will be happy with it. That means finding satisfactory plates or ordering off Amazon directly from the seller's site. ### ⭐⭐⭐ An Adequate, Money-Saving Substitute *by A***N on September 13, 2011* Changing weight plates is annoying, and getting a "bell shape" with smaller-sized plates is challenging at lower weights (35 lbs). Another problem is that the pressure coming down your forearm on the area of the "lead plate" can really sting! These negative aspects of the kettlestack should not stop you from buying it if you want to give kettlebells a try without buying a starter set (which can cost hundreds if you buy 2 or 3 of them in varying weights). You can use the kettlestack for 1 or 2-arm swings and get-ups without any trouble. Depending on the shape of the plates making the "bell," cleans and snatches can be done without issue too. It helps to wrap the plates in a towel to counteract the irregular shape of the "bell" when it comes down on your forearm.
