Amazing device.
After losing my Samsung Galaxy Mega about a year ago, and having been stuck with the Galaxy S6 as a replacement by my insurance, I've been on a constant hunt for the next big screen phone that might fit my needs. The S6 was a terrible fit from the start, especially when you consider that I mostly use my phone to download an stream various media, movies, music, photos, etc., and with no external storage, the S6 was a nightmare in that aspect. So after lengthy research into the phablet market, Sony was the only brand name that seemed to carry any positive feedback regarding not only size, but performance as well. And after many more months stalking my prey for the best possible price, I snagged this unlocked bad boy, in hopes of finally having a device that'll work with my needs. Then began the disappointments. The first seller listed the item as in stock, only for me to find out they had to have it shipped from China, and not their offices in the US. After the longest three weeks of my life, the phone finally arrived, and it was magnificent for the total of two hours, after which the screen became completely unresponsive; and so I sent the first phone back. Heart broken that the seller had no replacement to offer, I counted my losses and thought the phone and I just weren't meant to be. Until, for a single magical day, this phone appeared from another seller in the same price range. I jumped at the opportunity, and to my delight, the phone was shipped out the very same day, and arrived just after the weekend(I ordered Saturday). Then came my second disappointment. The international version would not work with my provider (MetroPCS), because it kept coming up in their system as Blackberry for some odd reason. Once again, I though I would send the phone back for the final time; but then, after taking it out for a spin over WiFi, I fell in love, so much so that I said goodbye to MetroPCS, and got T-mobile, who had no issues hooking this phone up to their network in a snap. Now I am one happy camper, with a device that's not only quicker and more responsive than the newer S6 it replaced, but also connects to my chromecast as easily, and has a battery life that doesn't have me checking my purse for a back up charger before I leave my house every day. It's big, the screen is crystal clear, the processing speed is lightning fast, and did I mention you can buy a magnetic charger? Yep, no more unnecessary wear and tear on the micro USB port. Also the support Sony provides for their products(which I got to experience first hand while digging around about the IMEI coming up Blackberry on Metro) is second to none; prompt, courteous, outstanding. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Solid and beautiful phone...
This is certainly the best phone I have ever owned. It is snappy, especially on Wifi, beautiful and built solidly. Sony does not cut corners when they are making their phones ala Apple. I love the glass frame, which gives it its sophisticated and distinguished look; however, I find myself cleaning up the phone a lot because it attracts fingerprints so much. One thing you need to know is the phone is really really big. I was coming from a Galaxy Note 2, and it still took me a while to get used to. There is so much unused space on the bezel, so Sony could have really done a better job reducing the size if they wanted to. Well, since I had every intention to have a bigger phone, it kind of fit my needs. When it comes to functionality, this phone is the best. I like the fact that Sony updated to Android 4.4.4 over the air without a hitch; no waiting for T-Mobile's permission for any update is kind of cool. I get the update as soon as Sony makes it available. The Walkman, movie and album apps are the most beautiful you will ever find. I must say my Note 2 sound was definitely richer and louder. I kind of miss that.

SONY SUCKS
DO NOT BUY ANY PHONE MADE BY SONY!!!!! I bought a C6806 z ultra from expansys. The screen suddenly have white 2 white spots in about 3 months. The phone was never dropped or taken out of the case. I called Sony and they said that I have to call google because it's a google edition. I called google and they send me back to sony. Anyway, the phone developed more problems like bluetooth disconnect, freezing, crashing, and many other small problems. Now, my screen goes dull 9/10 of the whole screen when I first turn on and have shadows when I scroll it. I've always bought sony tv's and this was my first sony phone. I just sold a KDL70W850B. I'll never buy anything made from sony again. You cannot make a product this bad without taking responsibility for it. Go look at a sony tv against a samsung tv. You can see the difference right away.

it is soooo terrible
I thought it would be better to have Sony than having iphone as long as its waterproof. It turns out, it is so bad. Whenver i touch it while my hands are wet, it has been frozen and it calls and sends messages randomly. I really regret buying it and i will never recommend any one to buy it.

Significant Technical Problems
First, the phone is really, really fast. It's more advanced than the Xperia Z.The Display is BRIGHT. Its fantastic. The graphics quality is excellent. The phone also has less ringtones and other extras than the Experia Z.The Camera's performance, which is quite uncharacteristic for Sony phones is disappointing.I bought this phone and two and half months later it stopped working. Sony agreed to service it under warranty. I had to make three calls to Sony to get them to service it. I asked one of the people I talked to if they had been having lots of problems with Z Ultras and they mumbled something about The phone was so good they were getting a lot of calls about it. The second person I talked to suggested it wasn't charged completely and that I should plug it into my computer's USB to charge it. The third person I talked to admitted that they had been having lots of problems with the Z Ultra. As a prize-winning addition: The phone was described by Sony as a "Gray Market" phone and that it would take longer than 22 days as that it was sold in Malaysia and that they'd have to get parts from the Malaysian repair unit. So, like a sucker, I bought another Xperia Z Ultra and my wife can have the one when (if?) it comes back from Sony repair.
