More room than you might think. This allowed me to carry everything I wanted from my original messenger laptop bagβ€”MacBook Pro, charger and cords, pens, mouse, batteries, portable HDs, etc. But that also means making this heavier than it needs to be. Two cons against this backpackβ€”top handle doesn't inspire confidence in its strength, although I haven't had issue with it; and there is no bottom padding in the laptop compartment, to which I added my own.
