More action centered & less relationship focused

“Sometimes the devil is the only option, but best to leave it to those of us who have already sold their souls.”“Sky had touched her where no one else had ever dared to reach, and now she couldn’t seal the wounds.” “The only thing that had changed was her. Oh, she still believed, she still burned with the need to carry out her duty, but she bled now in places she never had before.” “She’d told herself she didn’t need to be known for so long, didn’t need to be touched by anyone who truly saw her, that she’d come to believe it. She’d believed her mission, her objective, her duty, was enough to satisfy.” “And without truly believing she was capable of it, Loren had fallen in love.” “For the first time in her life, something mattered more than the mission.” “I love you. No matter where you are, no matter where I am, I will always find you.”• ~ • ~ • ~ •An intriguing series continues with another good, entertaining story with interesting characters, taught attraction & captivating action mystery all extremely well written… The entire book has you saying—What's gonna happen next?Wonderfully written, wonderfully developed, wonderfully told, wonderfully enjoyed.PS—We should all get into Cam & Blair’s inner circle cause EVERY character that get close to them ends up finding their Forever Love… except for the dead ones (but that's only the single folks so the odds are WAYYY worth it!! )

    Not Her Best Effort

Again, classic Radclyffe in the "Code" series. Think there may be too many plot lines going here. Including so much of Cameron and Blair - to those who've followed the series - waters down the potential to develop a more solid story here. "Firestorm" worked so well because it focused mainly on one couple involved in wildfire fighting and allowed the reader a real taste of what that life entails. "Code of Honor" tries to focus on too many relationships: those in the White House, those in Russo's campaign, the family dynamics of the paramilitary believers in Bitterroot, and then, the central meet and romance between the two protagonists working undercover in a motorcycle gang. Think the book would have benefited from more focus on perhaps just two areas at most. The classic elements of the Radclyffe romance were there, but the waffling of the story from group-to-group, and plot-to-plot became really annoying. I realize Radclyffe feels she has to publish several times a year, but she's also running her publishing company and I think her attention is being scattered enough so that she is unable to give the weight to the "Honor" series that she achieved in the "Justice" series.

The saga continues! The story line draws you in & keeps you spellbound to the end. I’m on to book nine!
