As part of my nine-month recovery from fracturing several vertebrae, I need to keep active, with hard surface walking. I wear a back brace, which enables me to be seated pain-free and it also reduces the pain when standing or walking. However, I can suddenly get a pain spasm in back and legs and need to sit down urgently. I can walk unaided, but have been advised to normally use walking poles for better posture. I was so excited to try the product, that I loaded the bag with a bottle of water and a folded walking stick. (This one has a four-point base and it seemed better to fold it and stow it rather than use either of the two very useful walking stick holders, which have tape loops and a base cup.) My walk started on very uneven badly pot-holed road, which was tricky. Once on a better tarmac or concrete surface, I was amazed at how the walking position gave me excellent posture.
