The thickness is good, and the items I put into them don't rip or break the bag. Because these are zip closing, it's easy to add or remove items and seal the bag up again. The only challenge recently is with opening the bag when I first use them. They are a little more difficult than previous ones I have received. If you try to open them in the middle of the zipper it's easy to tear them. I now open them from the very side, which has made it much easier and without damage.
