"User cancellation or authorisation failed" Win10 up to date** A: If Windows 10 isn't picking up the Fingerprint reader's drivers right away. Go to your Device Manager, locate the "ELAN Fingerprint Sensor" device, right-click and click Update Drivers. Click on "Search automatically for drivers", if none is found, then click on "Search for updated drivers in Windows Update" (wait 2-5 minutes). If still nothing, perform a restart via the start menu (not shutdown), and try the above again, if Windows 10 is still isn't picking up the drivers. If you are running something earlier than Windows 10, I would suggest upgrading. Tried another USB port and same again. Go into windows account settings and tried to setup using windows hello fingerprint device and it just went around in circles with taking your fingerprint and creating a pin. Gave up and rebooted my pc , with the fingerprint reader left plugged in, upon restarting windows seem to recognise the fingerprint reader and asked if it wanted to be setup....I just followed the setup steps and it now works with no issues. I also had problems with some apps asking for my fingerprint when signing in, this is a setting in Google Password Manager, settings, turn off " use windows hello when filling passwords" and email login , app login will just stay logged in.
