This has made chopping veggies and cutting up a fresh pineapple a pleasure.  It is very sharp, easy to handle and after cutting up several onions, which dull stainless steel blades, it sharpened up easily.

I am a culinary arts instructor and have used and own many higher end knives.  I didn’t expect very much from this knife at this price point, but I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this knife for $40.  I have had this knife for almost a year and I have found myself reaching for this knife for almost all kitchen prep tasks.  This knife is lightweight, well balanced and angled for a perfect rocking motion.  The one-piece construction makes the knife extremely durable, other Chinese chef knives with wooden handles often wear down and fail over time.  This knife is extremely sharp and if handled correctly it holds an edge for a long time.  If you own a quality sharpening stone, this knife takes an edge with ease.It is important to note that this knife is not a cleaver.  It is a traditional Chinese style chef/vegetable knife and should not be used for chopping through bone.  The knife is lightweight which is ideal for extended prep work, but will certainly chip if you try to chop through bone.Pros:It is much sharper and holds its edge better than similarly priced knives at a big box storeLightweight, but has enough heft to it so you don’t have use forceSharpens with ease when neededHolds up well to extensive useCons:The blade is more delicate than more expensive chef knives like Shun or Wusthof (no Damascus or German steel)No rubber incorporated on the handle for added comfortNeed to be careful about cleaning and drying after each use to maintain the nice shine of the blade
