Many, many other reviews have extolled the virtues of these dishes -- and yes, they are solid, quality, items that hold up well in the dishwasher and meekrowahvay, while looking quite nice. So, I'll focus on one particular aspect -- this is the perfect dish for putting together your entree-sized, perhaps over stuffed salads.I used to love hitting the salad place (when I worked in a city, and actually went into the office) ... feeling semi-healthy, even if I was slapping fried chicken or steak on top of my greens and veggies. And now that I work from home and am trying to eat a bit healthier, I've taken to trying to recreate those big lunch as salad type meals -- with a bit less fried items and red meat.This has required loading up on chunkier items like artichoke hearts, pickled beets, homemade dressing concoctions, etc. So, any type of deeper bowl made it hard to effectively fit all these items in, toss them smoothly or evenly distribute the dressing (without it flooding to the bottom). And plates, just led to unwelcome overflow, literally, with items going overboard either during prep or consumption.Enter this perfectly sized dish -- wide enough to fit a big salad with all the trimmings, and evenly distribute such items well, while giving you room to mix them around a bit, as needed to set up that delectable first bite. It's also NOT so deep -- so any dressing you use won't just get the lower level soggy and sopping. So if anyone is making more salads at home, these are total winners!BONUS: I grew up eating soup in more compact bowls, and just through force of habit did the same in my own home. Well, and I'm not a huge soup guy, I recently tried this out for soup and it totally solves the too hot to eat, now its cold dilemma. Wider bowls for soup just make it easier to enjoy your meal while it cools ... I'm totally won over! And even though it feels kinda odd, I even started using them for my chili (more surface area to layer on cheese and onions!)

Beautiful, sturdy, large enough to hold a great Italian meal of pasta, salad, or even a "banana split". I purchased 8 of these and 6 months later have no complaints, just raves about how wonderful they are ... even in the hands of clutzes. I have other products from Sweese as well and the quality is evident throughout. Sometimes pricey, definitely worth the investment. I highly recommend products by Sweese!

A friend showed these to me and I really didn't need any more dished but loved the deep blue color. So glad I bought these! They're not too big or too small. My go to bowls for spaghetti and chili! Sturdy and dishwasher safe.

I love Sweese! First, I love that they are not a bright optic white but just a hint of bone. They look white but that slight bit of creamyness is fabulous. Goes with everything. I purchased some mugs months ago. We use them every day and throw them in the dishwasher and they have held up great. No chips or cracks. They look as beautiful today as the day we received them. So, when I wmsaw these bowls as a daily deal, I purchased 2 boxes for a total of 8. They came within 24 hours and they were packaged beautifully. I also appreciate that you get an insert in every box for a freebie. Last time it was iced tea spoons, this time, bullion cups. Thank you, Sweese! I’ll be ordering dinner & salad plates soon. I think for the price point, these products are an amazing value. And they hold up much better than mugs purchased from a national “high-end” housewares store. Love, Love, Love!!!

Pretty color blue. Microwaveable & just the right size. Good quality for the price. Definitely would buy again.

Love the size and the depth of these bowls. They are sturdy but not too heavy. The only reason I didn’t rate them 5 stars is that a few of the bowls have some minor flaws. It looks like the paint is chipped but the glaze covers the chip so it’s not an accident during shipping. They are small but noticeable. Not bad enough to bother sending back.

I love these bowls. As stated, I eat a healthy meal, size-wise, and these work perfectly for my uses, such as a big bowl of pasta, oatmeal, soup, etc. They are awesome/y easy to clean, and have a brilliant finish. There's a reason why porcelain is recommended for antibacterial reasons ... germs have a difficult time sticking to ceramics ... and they look GREAAT !!!.

These pasta bowls are perfect for what I was looking for, not as thick and cumbersome as the stoneware ones I found at the local stores that weighed a ton! These are a nice weight ceramic that have a little more heft than simple glass ones but are nowhere near as bulky as the others I found. Glossy and look sharp on the table or counter. Good sized to almost too big, but I'm very happy I found them.

lovely quality. beautiful pale turquoise colour. Just he right size for a 10" tortilla salad (the tortilla, when put over a pie plate and toasted, fits nicely in the bowl. Also great for soups, stews and dinner salads. Purchasing more today!

Ordered the pink colour, set of four. They are a lovely colour with a lovely finish. Have purchased a set in blue as a wedding gift and they were very well received.
