My first bolt I torque with this, I was expecting a "THUNK" like the ft-lb cousin, but considering the torque we're working with is extremely low, the less than audible "THUNK" should be expected. When using this one, go slow, and rely more on the feel than the sound, as you'll get a "THUNK" you can feel in your hands when you get to the required spec. **Q: Sorry for the newbie question. But, assuming that a torque wrench can handle a given torque value, then it's the same across different torque wrench sizes. I.e. 15 ft-lbs is the same on a 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", etc., wrench.
