Used to use TSA padlock, cable or regular, in the padlock holes of my pelican air case, 2 at a time. And every 2 to 4 flights, I pick up my case off the luggage carousel with one of them missing. Something about the way the case was moved with them exposed hanging off it, they'd break off. And then I saw these. Easy to install if you first realize that with the locks "locked", you can't drive the pin holding them to the case out. So, after some frustration I understood how to do it and it became easy. They've now been on about 20 flights with me so far and haven't had any issues. inserting and turning the key isn't the smoothest mechanism but so far it's reliable.
