I swear this thing cost no more than 50¢ to make** A: You're paying for the lightweight and compact "design" (referencing the 2 card slot version). There are other compact and light wallets on the market made out of paper thin material (Tyvek) that sell for nearly twice the price but are of lower quality than this wallet. **Q: Is it cowhide** A: The card sleeve is made with a thin elastic fabric. This is one of the lowest quality products I have bought. It is literally a cloth sleeve that would do very little to protect your cards. The edge of a credit card over time would rip that fabric. I bought this for my son because he has a tendency of taking his cards out of his wallet and carry them in his pocket singularly. I thought this would be great to help him not lose his ID or credit card. This item wouldn’t last 10 minutes with an active 20-year old.
