One thing to consider when choosing a book on game theory is the excellent and extensive videos that the author William Spaniel has made on YouTube. There are approximately 80 lectures on Game Theory, with several of them covering more advanced material than that covered in the book , such as Bayesian equilibrium.They are excellently done, run from 10 to 35 minutes, and our design to cover individual topics per lecture. They are a perfect complement to his book and like his book, are clearly thought out, concise and entertaining. Unless you are looking for and advanced game theory book, I think this is an excellent first choice. Absolutely recommended for anyone who wants a good introduction to game theory. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for what it is - a simple, beginner's introduction *by J***T on December 24, 2017* This book is a good, non-technical introduction to game theory. I've used it at the beginning of an introductory game theory course to give students an easy immersion into the subject. It's very limited and would be completely inadequate for a course aimed at economics majors, but for students who just want to know what game theory is and how to approach common problems, it's clear. I don't love it. I think the format is a bit ugly, especially the mathy bits, and the normal form games are just big gray globs in the middle of the page. It wouldn't have cost that much to make the pages more appealing to the eye. And I don't think you can learn this material without doing exercises, and there are none in the book.
