These people are very obviously not professionals, and if it doesn't fit them, it is due to their head shapes and has nothing to do with their actual measurements. This helmet is 100% true to size. I wear an XL in every brand of helmet i've ever used, and i've used quite a few.... and this one is not only a great fit, but it actually has MORE room than my dads HJC. Listen to Revzilla and places like that, who also agree that this helmet is true to size. If you have an oval/intermediate oval headshape, then follow the hat size recommendation, and you WILL NOT be disappointed. Reading the reviews some people posted about these helmets fitting a size smaller, and even two sizes smaller, almost scared me into buying the XXL... and thank god I didn't.... cause ANY bigger and this thing woulda been too big for me. In short, this helmet is true to size, beautiful, and very lightweight for the price. My roommate, who has never ridden a motorcycle in his life, even commented that he had no idea there was a helmet in the box because, as he said after he answered the door for the FedEx guy: "I had no idea your helmet was even in that box. It felt waaaay too light to be a helmet..." If you like the look of these helmets, or even just want something to decorate a shelf.... you cannot go wrong with this helmet. I LOVE mine.Only bad thing.... and I mean ONLY issue... I have with this helmet, is that it's very clearly labelled "Made in China."
