## Overview

The Wax Buffing Brush for drills is a high-quality accessory designed to enhance your polishing experience. With its durable bristles and compatibility with standard drills, this brush allows you to achieve professional-level shine on various surfaces, making it a must-have for any DIY enthusiast or professional detailer.

## Description

There is no more valuable tool in the refinisher's arsenal than the buffing brush. Gone are the days of buffing with towels, t-shirts, or hand brushes. The natural tampico bristles of this buffing brush allow you to get into all of the cracks and crevices of your piece with minimal effort, while it glides across large flat surfaces with ease. Imagine buffing an entire armoire or chest of drawers in 3-4 minutes, without breaking a sweat! Or even better... all those spindles on that set of Windsor chairs? Mere minutes of work with the buffing brush! This brush measures 4 inches in diameter, and has densely packed bristles that measure out 1 1/2 inches from the disk. It can be used with nearly any furniture wax applied over chalk-based or mineral paints, and works equally well with restoration waxes for antiques. Instructions: Allow the wax to dry according to the manufacturer's instructions. Hold the drill brush level to the surface, with minimal pressure, until you get the hang of it. It tends to want to run away from you if you are positioning it incorrectly. Done!

    It works, but...

*by D***A on Reviewed in the United States on April 23, 2016*

This wax buffing brush does the job, but I'm not sure I would buy it again. I read all the reviews prior to purchase, noting negative and positive comments. As one reviewer had commented, the brush I received also did not have the Chalk Pro stamp. In fact, it had a hand written price of $19 and a bar code sticker, which struck me as very misleading compared to the picture which clearly says "ChalkPro". So, first impression....it looked like a cheap knock off. Next, the issue of dust and shedding. Yes! And LOTS of it!! Truly an inordinate amount like it had been put together outside in the dirt. Thankfully, I had purchased another brush from a different seller which came with the instructions to 'condition' your brush prior to use by 'ruffling with your fingers or the edge of a counter to dislodge loose hairs and then rinsing in warm water and setting aside to dry completely' before use. Even so, my first time use had fibers flying everywhere! Some reviewers complained that the nut came loose during use, but it stayed put just fine for me. I used a 20v battery powered B & D drill which worked well. I did notice that it took a good amount of pressure and two hands on the drill to achieve a fairly glossy result , while keeping the brush head flat on the surface. It worked particularly well getting into corners and edges. Overall, it did what it was supposed to, but I have serious doubts about quality. I used this on a small chalk painted side table. Not a huge project, but the brush was fairly splayed already by the time I finished.

Works well but your drill must be reversible. Set it to rotate counter clockwise. If clockwise, the spindle will unscrew from the brush.

    Brushing made easy

I bought two of these to make my life easier: one for polishing furniture and the other for polishing stained glass.I started reading a few of the reviews prior to using the drill, so using the drill in reverse (and marking it on the brush) and found it worked really well cleaning up my stained glass windows. People who make leaded windows will understand what I mean. I used it on a low speed and after I removed the whiting with my hand brush, I used this to do the final cleaning without creating a cloud of dust. Worked really well and fast and will be part of my toolbox for glass. On to the furniture. I'm restoring and reupholstering some wooden furniture-- tables and chairs-- and this does a great job of buffing out the wax on the pieces. Again, marked the brush on top, used it in reverse, and used it on a slower speed to do the trick. Worked wonderfully well. Yes, I lost a few bristles along the way, but nothing too alarming. I wanted something that would get into the nooks and crannies-- my tables are hand-carved-- and this does a great job of helping hitting all the spots.Four stars for these babies because it would be easy enough to include instructions on the care and feeding of this baby for the uninitiated.
