I feel like I'm saving money and that in itself will pay for the actual trash can. The one con would be that it does slide. The pressure of stepping on the foot pedal causes the trashcan to slide each time and depending on where it's located can be a nuisance. I have it against the side of my island and the counter-top sticks further out so if the trashcan is sitting against the island completely the lid will bang against the island counter top. The older one is still in perfect condition - I needed an additional one for outside. It is nice and neat - very easy to switch bags. This comes with it's own special bags but you can use the regular 13 gallon bags from the store. There is no bulky inner bin to pull out and replace. It looks great and stays clean. It does not rust. It just makes my everyday life easier.
