Because it has a soft case always pull out your scalpel blades when you’re done. I regrettably did not and I am currently writing this review with a 7in cut in my thigh. Because I didn’t remove the blade it cut through the soft case and my backpack. My girl friend cut her finger and we thought it was a fishing hook so I looked for fishing hooks but couldn’t find any. Then today I was rushing to join a zoom meeting and dropped my back pack through my legs and the scalpel cut a huge gash down my thigh. Luckily, it’s not too deep but it has now bled through 5 folder paper towels. Long and short of it is to pull the blades after use. I would totally recommend this product and it actually is really good for dissections. The pointed scalpel is really useful for small cuts like Roundworms and the like.
