I am so happy to own a copy of this book its well put together and when you open the book you are opening the front door to grey gardens and feeling and understanding all the emotions that go along with it.I felt I was there when this documentary was being made. The Beales are very colorful personalites.You can't help but like and feel for these two women, little Edie dreamed of being a star and Big Edie wanted to be the center of attention.When the documentary of their life in grey gardens was released they did get the attention and became stars. Noone knew the impact this documentary would have on people when it was released people were fansinated with this mother and daughter relationship. It has audio outtakes with Big Edie, Edie, Jerry, Lois and the Maysles talking about all sorts of things, including raccoons, spirits, electricity and many other subjects.
