Review: Great picture, excellent price - Very good experience so far - I did a fair amount of research before buying a projector for my backyard family movie nights. With COVID-19 shutting down movie theaters, I wanted to create movie "events" for my family. This projector more than does the trick. The picture is bright and crisp and you don't lose details in the night time scenes. The fan isn't too noisy, which is good, because the speakers are little quiet for an outdoor experience. But that's a small quibble considering it's easy to connect to a Bluetooth speaker with the help of an inexpensive (under $30) Bluetooth transmitter that plugs right into the headphone jack on the projector. Speaking of inputs on the back of the projector, there are two HDMI inputs, which is more than enough to plug in a Fire TV Stick, a laptop and/or a Blu Ray player. Translation: You can pretty much play any movie you can find. There are no limits. My kid even used it for gaming the other day. This is my first projector experience and I'm very pleased with both its quality of this projector and a price I considered very affordable. We're sure to have many more great nights in our backyard before this pandemic is over! Sure, it required a very simple attachment to get better outdoor sound, but that still keep it way under the price of other comparable projectors. Well worth it.
Review: Better than my old Sanyo - My theater projector (Sanyo PLV-Z3) had a second bulb blow in in just a few months. I think it's finally dying after 15 years of use. I started looking at a replacement and just didn't want to spend a ton of money. When looking at the different tiers of projectors, I wasn't looking for the best. My eyes are bad and this projector is really only used by us. But what scared me was the fear of these lower priced units not being bright enough. Sanyo was rated at 800 lumens, this was good at the time but is really only for dark rooms. With the new ratings of LUX, the challenge was, what is the equivalent or better? This was hard to determine. I read a lot of articles and watched a few videos on this and the various units out there. Eventually I settled in on this P28 model from WiMiUS. It has a few key features I was after (digital keystone and zoom) and fit the projection throw and screen size I had (16x9 - 108" diag - 13'4" throw). When the unit came in, I did a quick setup on a ladder, wired it up and gave it a try. What a great experience! The picture was definitely brighter than my Z3. The colors were more vibrant and I was able to watch a show with the curtains open in the room. With my previous projector, it would be all washed out. When I'm in theater mode (black-out curtains and minimal to no ambient light) its almost too bright in some scenes. This is without using the added lighting boost. After ceiling mounting it, I was able to quickly set the zoom and keystone (recommendation, zoom smaller than your screen first, set the keystone there. Then zoom out to your screen size and finally make any fine tuning adjustments to the keystone). The focus was easy to achieve and so far has not changed or needed adjustment. And yes, as per some of the reviews, it is a bit soft on the focus on the edges. But for watching movies I've had no issues. The chevrons on sporting events are also clear and crisp. From a connection standpoint, I route my signals through an AV Amp and HDMI switchers. I've had no issues so far with this connection method to the P28. I'm not using the audio in the projector so I can't speak to that. On the picture quality, I'm happy with the colors and the contrast are solid. Dark scenes are displayed much better than I was used to seeing in this room. The whites can be over-powering and over saturated at times. I gave this a 4 for picture for this and for the soft focus. Just didn't give a five because I have seen better --- but that was for 6-times more the price (and talking LED, not DLP which is a different class). I'll play some more with the detailed color modes and settings and may be able to resolve the oversaturation. The one drawback I will point out is the fan noise. My Z3 had a high-light setting that would crank-up the fan. The P28s fan runs at about that level all the time. I tried playing with the noise reduction settings with negligible results. That said, you really only notice it when selecting what to watch and during quiet moments. But this is tolerable and not a major concern to me. Especially for the price. Overall, I'm happier than I thought I would be with this purchase.

I did a fair amount of research before buying a projector for my backyard family movie nights. With COVID-19 shutting down movie theaters, I wanted to create movie "events" for my family. This projector more than does the trick. The picture is bright and crisp and you don't lose details in the night time scenes. The fan isn't too noisy, which is good, because the speakers are little quiet for an outdoor experience. But that's a small quibble considering it's easy to connect to a Bluetooth speaker with the help of an inexpensive (under $30) Bluetooth transmitter that plugs right into the headphone jack on the projector. Speaking of inputs on the back of the projector, there are two HDMI inputs, which is more than enough to plug in a Fire TV Stick, a laptop and/or a Blu Ray player. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 200 inches off the wall with ease!

I am a real customer. No one paid me for this review. I must say, this is my first projector EVER! I am a rookie at this video projector stuff. Therefore my review is solely on this VP and this VP alone. Sure there must be much better projectors out there but for the price... I'm more than satisfied with this one. I didn't know how to focus the screen, a quick message to the seller and they explained it to me. Guilty! I skipped reading the manual. I am watching off of a White/gray wall , new paint in my garage, it is pitch black and it looks awesome. If It satisfies the wife and my four year old daughter, then it's good enough for me. But really and truly, it's great! I have led lights running on the bottom of the garage walls about 5 inches off the ground and the image quality remains great. The image reflecting on the wall is 170 to 200 inches diagonally, depending on the video format. The VP is about 19 to 20 feet away. I can only hope the quality and longevity is as good as what I am getting right now. Only time will tell. Yes, the fan is a bit loud but that's a problem if you have it on low volume. Crank it up and fan noise is gone. Speaking of sound quality... Maybe I'm going deaf but it seems as though you can only start hearing the sound when the volume goes past 50. (Scale ranging from 0 to 100) this is not an issue for me. I am using an auxiliary cable to hook it up to my UE Boom speakers. And sound is loud. Maybe the fact that I am in the garage/playroom makes a difference, adding that echo.. Movie theater style. Or maybe I just don't ask for much? Either way, it's good enough. The remote control is hot or miss. One must be truly pointing to the VP .. not crazy about it, but it does the job. The seller responds quickly, and willing to work with you every step of the way. Great customer service! U.S. based companies, take a page out of this guys' work book... They really strive to satisfy their customers. Again, I have nothing else to compare this VP to... So as far as I'm concerned, this VP is a keeper. Forgive the picture, my daughter took it. I measured the screen sizw diagonally and during that picture it measured 172 inches.
