I suppose the first clue was how the description states that with this unique design you can sit on it sideways for more lift... as if they didn't already realize that monks and meditating enthusiasts have been doing that with the traditional round cushion forever. But I figured perhaps they meant it gave more stability than the round cushion when turning it sideways or something. The biggest issue is the large and rough seams in the middle from where the different colored strip on top meets the sides. Those edges might not bother anyone who does short sits, but after a long day of sitting they can take their toll on the sit bones and buns. They put more emphasis on making this cushion look "cool" with that colored strip rather than on function. The felt material is interesting and is probably good for making sure you don't slide off the seat like some fabrics are prone to causing. I thought this might make a good travel cushion because it's listed as 10" x 12", but my ruler measures it as larger.
