Though I purchased a 5-year warranty with the item, it won't take effect till 8-17-22. Therefore, I have no choice but to take this course of action to hopefully get some attention to my dilemma! It isn't a freezer but once the ice melts back into the machine, it just makes new ice cubes. So long as you keep water in it, you'll be guaranteed to have ice in it. And the water goes a long way!
