Review: Attraction - I bought this to hold thin metal against a belt sander. Mission accomplished. I made a dagger and used this magnet to hold the parts while I sanded them, without worrying about losing fingers. The magnets a plenty strong enough to hold the part solid against the moving belt. The handle has a nice grip, easy to hold. It was a pleasant surprise to see the two plastic parts that cover the magnets themselves and keep things from accidentally jumping onto the magnets. This magnet is a staple in my workshop now.

A: I used it exclusively for picking up women. If you have men trapped in your walls you may want to hire a contractor and alert the local news.

A: No, the most effective way to destroy an old hard drive is death by fire!  If you disassemble the old drive you will find two very powerful magnets inside.

**Q: Can this be used to wipe the information from a hard drive?  No guesses, please.**
A: No

**Q: Do you think this could be used to pull wire under a carpeted area?**
A: The other issue about using this product to pull wire, is that the wire is probably either copper or aluminum. A magnet won't help you with wither of those. Using a fish tape (steel) you may help guide the tape with this but probably not "pull" the tape under carpet.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Grabs hold and doesn't let go

I ordered this magnet to use in my knife making hobby. When a blade is heat treated, it will often warp during quenching. The warp usually has to be ground out and that's hard to do without a magnet to hold the blade flat on the platen. This magnet works really well. It is super strong and when it grabs hold of the knife, it takes brute force to remove it. That's what I want because I don't like knife blades flying around my shop. This magnet has a nice sturdy handle, and it's just the right size for my needs. The price was really reasonable, and it comes with removable shields that prevent the magnet from grabbing things that you don't want grabbed. I recommend it highly and would definitely buy it again.
