## Description

Ernie Ball Regular Slinky Roundwound 5-string bass guitar strings are made from nickel-plated steel wrapped around a hex-shaped steel core wire. Each bass guitar string produces a bright, balanced tone and is manufactured with the freshest and finest raw materials in the beautiful Coachella Valley of Southern California. Gauges .045, .065, .080, .100, .130.

Review: great all-purpose strings - These give a nice blend of punch, growl, warmth, and brightness for all-purpose playing. I have super-slinkies on my 4-string for a more aggressive tone, but this is a nice middle-of-the-road string. They're easy to play, not so thick as to prevent you from shredding (I have super-thick flatwounds on my fretless and it's impossible to shred with those). They go bad more quickly than Elixers or other coated strings, but I prefer the brighter tone of these.

**Q: What’s the length in inches of these strings?**
A: Unless otherwise noted, all of our bass strings are 48" in length and designed for basses with a scale length of 34".

**Q: What are good for rock?**
A: Slinky are basically made for Rock! Bright, but also well rounded tones. Hope that helps.

**Q: Will these work on rbx jm2 John Myung signature?**
A: Hi there, If the scale length of the bass is around 34 or 35 inches it should work. Also John Myung's name appears on the back as an endorsed artists for the strings. Hope this helps!

**Q: Which set would be good for drop B?**
A: A larger string gauge will produce higher tension. When you drop your tuning that higher tension will help retain note clarity and power. Go for the Power Slinky or buy an even larger 5 string set and use only the biggest 4 strings. You'll have to adjust the truss rod and bridge afterwards.

I had stock flatwound bass strings before. But when I installed these, I had the best experience of my life. It is easy to handle and it has the right amount of thickness. The metal used feels and looks high quality. I had it for a short amount time but it still looks brand new so it's great in terms of durability. The 130 string length I had to cut to properly adjust to my bass size but it fitted my bass pretty well. This is the best functioning strings I've ever bought.
