## Questions & Answers

**Q: how many people can play at the same time? does it support the wii remote plus control? is t necesary the nunchuk controller??**
A: Only one person can play on the Wii u. If other people have A 3DS and the MH3U game for the 3DS, they can sync up and play with the Wii U, up to 4 people (Wii U + 3 DS's).You can also go into online mode and play with other people online.

**Q: Does this game support the Pro Controller?**
A: Yes it does. I play with the pro controller and I keep the gamepad screen on for my map and touch panels.

**Q: Does this come in original sealed case and with instruction manual? or is this just the disc?**
A: The copy I received was in the original sealed case with manual (the manual is very small though and not very gameplay helpful honestly). But it should be a brand new sealed copy you receive.

**Q: Is this still a good game to play?**
A: I doubt it has anyone playing the online anymore but solo is still fun. The newer ones are a big step up however, sadly only on 3DS.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bye Social Life, Hello Monster Hunter
*by A***A on April 30, 2013*

I've been waiting for this very game ever since it was annouced in Japan a couple years ago. I'm a Monster Hunter vet, and started playing the series on Monster Hunter Freedom for the PSP. If you're looking for a WiiU game that'll hold your attention for a very long time, look no further. This game takes, literally, hundreds, maybe even thousands of hours to get everything that you want. The main purpose of the game is to, well, hunt Monsters. It's an addicting cycle of hunt, get it's materials until you have enough, and craft an armour piece (there's usually 5 pieces of armour per armour set), or craft/upgrade a weapon. While offline is fun, and is the ultimate (no pun intended) tutorial for this game, the real fun is when you go online. Quests are seperated by difficulty, so you'll never be fighting a strong monster with someone who's nearly defenseless. There are three main categories of quests. Low-Rank (ranks 1 and 2), High-Rank (ranks 3, 4, and 5), and then G-Rank (ranks 6 and on). Low-Rank monsters pose little threat to players who are either returning from previous Monster Hunters, or have done some of the offline quests, and know the basics of the game. If you're brand new, Low-Rank monsters is a good challenge, and requires you to be on your toes for the entire hunt. High-Rank monsters are a bit stronger, and you're introduced to Subspecies of some monsters (which are awesome, and usually the armour/weapons have different attributes). G-Rank monsters is when the challenge really comes. G-Rank monsters (even for vets) will always be a serious challenge. They hit hard, and take a long time to kill. Overall, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is the best game for Wii U out right now, and probably will be for a while. There's hundreds of quests, thousands of armours and weapons, and millions of amounts of fun.Graphics: 9/10 (The WiiU version is a direct 3DS port. Some of the textures are a little edgy and spotty. But the monsters look AMAZING)Controls: 9/10Content: 10/10Lasting appeal: 10/10Hours I'm going to dump into this game: My goal is over 1000.Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the WiiU is an incredible game, and the best in the series. It takes hours of patience and perserverence for this game to start paying off, but once it does, you'll be hungry for more. This game is not for the faint of heart, or a "quick fix" of gaming. It requires hours of play to master. Luckily, practically everyone that I've met online is more than willing to offer a helping hand. With the inclusion of mic chat (which I'm not a big fan of..) communicating is easy, and quick. If you don't want to hear, or use mic chat (like me), there is an option to turn it off. CAPCOM has hit a bullseye with this game, and I hope that the Monster Hunter series becomes better and more known in the West. This game deserves attention from the masses. It's a very nice mixture of action, RPG (there's stats and skills, but no real "leveling up"), and strategy. Glorious game from beginning to end!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worthy Successor To MHTri In Every Way
*by J***S on July 16, 2014*

If you enjoyed MHTRI on the Wii, or any MH game for that matter, you'll love this one to death. If you're worried about it being a repeat of TRI with just better graphics, you're dead wrong. Yes the story does start off the same, but the online is totally different, & that's where this game shines the most. Don't get me wrong though, the offline mode still has a lot of fresh elements to it, & unlike before there are a ton of cool new features. There's a whole bunch of free DLC that's getting updates over time. The servers are strong and smooth, no disconnecting like in TRI. You can play steady for an entire day, which I did for 2 days straight with no issues. The graphics in this game is better than TRI. The colours are richer and way more vibrant. You can tell that certain textures are HD, & the game won't look any less on a bigger screen, unlike with the Wii. The graphics for the most part however remain the same, it's the game itself that was greatly boosted. If you're coming from TRI, there's a TON of new monsters, armour, weapon-types, & even new stages. Online looks entirely different. It's beautiful, & you have a lot of features you didn't before. The gamepad makes gameplay seem effortless. It handles like the classic controller pro, but has a built in mic & headphone jack for game chat, it has an on-screen keyboard for text chat, & you can set touch-controlled short cuts on the gamepad screen. It's like an all-in-one dream controller for MH. I stick to the classic controller pro however, since it's what i got used to on the Wii. This game supports the Gamepad, Wii U Pro control, Wii Classic Controller & Classic Controller Pro, & this other generic wireless controller that's out there. Can't remember the name lol.The ranking system has changed, since the game's difficulty was boosted. Even more reason to play online so you can get help from others. The friend system was improved as well. You can exchange something called Guild Cards. As long as you have that, you can use a player's "ghost" even when they're not there. Friend requests now add you to each other's Wii U consoles instead of just being friends in the game, which was much appreciated. They tightened up a lot of loose ends TRI had. I should mention before I go that this game isn't for everyone. It's a true RPG. Hardcore as it gets. Grinding is a must. If you don't like grinding you will not beat this game. You CANNOT simply "breeze through" a monster hunter. The game takes practice as well, as you're weaker than your opponents throughout most of the game if you're riding solo. So you'll have to brush up on your blocks, dodges and counters. The game is challenging but tons of fun. Get it.
