## Description

THE UNIVERSAL FLOOR SENSOR by LuxHeat is a reliable and accurate temperature probe designed to monitor the temperature of the floor heating system and communicate with the thermostat controller, to accurately adjust the temperature of the heating system to ensure optimal comfort levels in the room.★ WHY DO I NEED A FLOOR SENSOR? Accurate temperature monitoring can greatly increase the comfort and economy of a radiant heat system. Certain types of flooring (e.g. laminate wood floors) require a floor sensor, as per the manufacturer's instructions, to limit floor temp. ★ HOW DOES IT WORK? The thermistor changes its resistance reading according to the temperature that surrounds the probe. This reading is communicated to the thermostat, the thermostat interprets resistance reading and adjusts heating system accordingly. ★ HOW DO I INSTALL IT? The temperature sensor probe must be taped or glued to the floor substrate between two of the floor heating cables. The connections on the end of the Floor Sensor are connected to the correct terminals on the thermostat controller.

Review: Used on monitor heater - I spliced into a monitor heater where thermostat is obsolete. I also used as an outdoor reset for my boiler, it connected into the aquastat. Most heating equipment that requires a two wire thermostat to monitor the air temperature will use this type of sensor. I imagine this would be useful on Rinnai heaters too, to extend the thermostat away from the unit.
Review: Works great with Mysa thermostat - Easy to install, seems robust enough to last. I have installed 2 sensors under the tile floor incase one goes bad.

- SIMPLE TO INSTALL - neutral polarity floor sensor is quick and easy to connect to your thermostat. Tough cable insulation protects against damage during flooring installation. Resistance measures 8 to 10 kohm for temperatures between 68degF and 86degF.
- TIP OF THE DAY # BETTER safe than sorry, install a back-up floor sensor to avoid unnecessary lifting of floors should primary sensor fail. Thermistor reads 10k ohm as 77degF/25DegC.

I spliced into a monitor heater where thermostat is obsolete. I also used as an outdoor reset for my boiler, it connected into the aquastat. Most heating equipment that requires a two wire thermostat to monitor the air temperature will use this type of sensor.
