I tried second time was putting them on and made sure its tight enough to block the sound then left them for a night, next day morning its was perfectly sticked to the door, I think you just need to leave them on let the door press the tape instead you do. However, it traps sound. I loved that part. It helped dampen my door (since it's hollow, sound just resonates in it) from all of the music coming out of my room. If on a budget, go for it. Why not?
