## Description

Surface Preparation Kit. Do It Right! . Prior to priming and painting your pool, you must prep the surface to ensure the paint will adhere for a long lasting finish. This kit includes 7lbs. of Tri-Sodium Phosphate (TSP) and 8lbs. of Sulfamic Acid Cleaner. . Tri-Sodium Phosphate (TSP) – Removes oily deposits and dirt and is safe and easy to use. . Dissolve eight ounces into each gallon of warm water, which will cover apprx. 100 sq. feet. Apply solutions with a stiff-bristled brush. Once applied, rinse off with hose before the solution has time to dry. This washing compound will leave you with a clean surface for Step #2 – Sulfamic Acid Cleaner. . Sulfamic Acid Cleaner – Removes mineral deposits and scale from the pool's surface. . It is advised to use rubber gloves as well as eye protection. It is also recommended to avoid contact with skin or eyes. This acid is a high-powered, crystalline form for use to be mixed with water to remove mineral deposits and other contaminants. . Once Step #1 (TSP) has been completed to remove oils from the pools surface, move onto Step #2 (Sulfamic Acid Cleaner). Mix 2lbs. of Sulfamic Acid with two gallons of water. Be sure all powder has been dissolved fully before moving on. This combination of acid and water will cover apprx. 200 sq. feet, and will clean and etch the pools surface. Use a stiff-bristled brush to scrub while rinsing every ten feet or so. Once complete, repeat Step #1 again to neutralize any remaining traces of acid. Let dry and start painting!
