Review: Does the job, No Rust! - I'm buying my current batch of these rust preventers to replace the previous set I had. They're supposed to last two years, so I wanted to update my existing ones with fresh models. So far, they have done a great job of preventing rust on my tools. My tools reside in a tool box in a non-climate controlled garage. This has been a problem in the past due to condensation during parts of the year. Once I added these, the problem has gone away. 10/10 would recommend.

**Q: Do you unwrap them or through them in the way they are**
A: You would need to unwrap the product for use. Any unused plastabs can be stored in a zippered bag until needed.

**Q: Safe for electronics? Such as to slow or prevent rust inside of collectibles such as old radios or computers prone to corrosion?**
A: I'm pretty sure VCI's are not for lead. There is information that suggests it will speed up corrosion of some metals including lead and zinc. This would be a serious problem in and old radio with all of its solder joints.

**Q: Would this work on a knight helmet that’s make from18 gauge mild steel?**
A: It depends on where you are keeping the helmet. These are designed for use in enclosed spaces like safes. Also, make sure you get the ones that will cover the whole space. There are bigger zerust tabs that protect a larger area.

**Q: Is this safe to use in the home?**
A: I use it in the home.  It emits a rust preventing vapor.  I would not use it on items you contact a lot. such as a razor, since you might have an allergy or reaction to it.  But, for normal hand tools, such as pliers, it works very well.

Not a stranger to ZERUST products and I am very satisfied with the products I currently use and their performance. What I have a doubt over is how this product was shipped. All my other ZERUST products I have purchased come in a sealed ZIPLOK type bag. These were no exception but, they both have this perfectly punched hole in the bag in the exact location HUH? So I question if these things are still good or how long they will be good for. I may be overthinking it but if they are giving off a "vapor", a hole in the bag the product comes in just doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Time will tell.
