I bought the large socks for my son. The size chart indicates 9.5 - 11.5 men's sizes for large and he wears shoes between an 11 & 12. The large fits him great so you should be able to wear the medium. The website also indicates an extra large sock for a men's size 12 and above so it looks as if it is an accurate chart. **Q: Size 9/9.5 - what size should I buy?** A: European size for 9-9 1/s is 43.
