The organizer can be adjusted from 6in to about 4 ft and back based on your need. The Cooler is NOT LEAKPROOF, however cools very well. **Q: How long will the cooler keep food cold?** A: I only use mine in the trunk of my classic car at car shows. The ice lasts for at least 6-8 hours. (Maybe more?) By that time I am home from the car show. I really like this organizer and the ease of removing the cooler from the organizer to take in the house to load/fill with Ice.
