NOT necessarily. I'm 6', but I have a 22" neck. No, I'm not fat, I just have a thick neck. I have to have my dress shirts made at The Custom Shop for this reason and if I wear a regular tie, it hangs like it was Oliver Hardy wearing it. You should have seen me when I got married! 32" waist pants and a 44" jacket. That was due to weight lifting back when. well, now I'm 38" X 44" but I still have really thick neck. Anyway, this tie hangs just fine for me and it's a very nice tie too. I'm going to buy another.
