It is easily adjusted to the desired height. However, once my cafe lights were hung it was not sturdy enough to remain upright. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better with a simple mod *by B***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on February 17, 2020* Overall this product was great for my patio string lights project. I ended up modifying the installation by using some pipe straps and securing the pole directly and firmly to a fence post. If you have this option I would recommend it if you are creating a permanent installation, staking into the ground seems more temporary. I am giving 4/5 because the interlocking poles don't fit together quite as snug as I hoped, some would literally fall out of place just from being picked up.
