Expecting to climb lots of cracks on a two-week trip to the Sierras, I didn't want to trash my hands on the first couple days and suffer the rest of the trip. I've used homemade tape gloves before in similar situations, but I thought I'd try a commercial option. I was looking for a different manufacturer's product that I'd heard really good things about, but it seemed unavailable, so I went with these.Basically, they did the job. I could continuously jam without discomfort on long climbs, and they didn't get too much in the way. But there were some problems. First, the rubber on the back is thick. Protective, yes. But it doesn't conform very well to the shape of the back of your hand. The worst part of that is the knuckle at the base of my middle finger was constantly being compressed, and over time it developed a deep bruise or inflammation that is only now dissipating two weeks later, and that's from just wearing them, not related to jamming with them. The other problem was the Velcro wrist closure. It's not very secure, for one thing. Also, the exposed Velcro hooks catch on slings and other climbing equipment, which can be very frustrating when trying to place gear from an awkward stance. I had to wrap athletic tape around the exposed Velcro to prevent this.These gloves could use a design overhaul. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Came with 2 right handed gloves *by T***R on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on October 13, 2021* The gloves in general are great! My friend had a pair of these and we all made fun of him until....my last trip to Moab. I forgot my friend's gloves. I then proceeded to develop two large painful goobies. The next day I broke down and tried these gloves. I loved them! No pain and it stuck great. Not sure about the complaints of the person above. I did not have any problems with the velcro. Not sure what the hook is? The only down part is that it takes several times to figure out to velcro the wrist strap with one hand. That is the only improvement I can think of. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars.
