Review: I am thrilled with this purchase! - I've always enjoyed foreign films and dramas. Unfortunately sometimes they only exist in their own region coding. I recently purchased a dvd set from Thailand and really wanted to watch it on my flat screen. This dvd player did the job with no problem. I plugged it into the outlet and hooked the back into an already existing HDMI cord and it played my dvd's right out of the box. The up-scaling is perfect (with HDMI cord) and the subtitles work flawlessly. Very light unit, small profile, fair price, nice clean design and works as advertised. It comes with a basic and functional remote also HDMI and analog video cords. There is also a “memory” feature you can toggle on and off if you want it to start playing from its last point. Which was useful to me when watching a tv series. I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS UNIT!! Pro Tip: When I first hit play I was a little disappointed with the video quality. I used the remote to change settings which out of the box were set to 480 to 1080p. All of a sudden the dvd is CRYSTAL CLEAR and looks HD.
Review: Good Bargain! - I’m very very pleased with this DVD player. The reason I bought it is because it said multi regional and I enjoy movies/shows from the BBC. It was extremely easy to set up (pugged in with the included cord, change the input on the television, and I’m literally watching a DVD on it now- started 10 mins ago taking it out of the box and setting up) I will say- it does not come with batteries for the remote so you need 2 AAA batteries and you will probably need an extension cord because the plug in cord is not very long. It also does come with a HDMI cord but I didn’t need it! I feel like I got a really good deal on a great player for a good price. If you watch a lot of multi regional dvds, this is for you. If not, you can buy a regular old DVD player from Walmart.

I’m very very pleased with this DVD player. The reason I bought it is because it said multi regional and I enjoy movies/shows from the BBC. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy set up not great remote

I wanted to use this player for some DVD's that are not Bluray, so didn't need anything fancy. I've just set it up (it was simple and I'm not tech savvy.) You'll need two AAA batteries for the remote. The buttons are very small on the remote and I'm a female with small hands. What interferes for me is my (not very long) fingernail tips tending to press a neighboring button. Also, I saw other reviews that mentioned the power button of the remote not activating the player correctly. I do have that same problem. Press it once for standby mode, a second time to turn the player on, but as soon as the player turns on, it shuts itself back off again. The player works fine so long as I use the power button on the main unit rather than on the remote. Last thing I don't like is the free 3 year warranty won't activate until you leave a product review. That's not super cool but is why I'm reviewing way sooner than I ever review products normally. I personally give way more merit to reviews that stand the test of time with further use of the product, so take my review for my first day experience value only.
