Very tacky, very permanent - no worries at all. **Q: Do these refills fit the red scotch atg 714 applicator? it's maddening that the description doesn't mention which ones these fit??????** A: If your gun uses 1/4" it should fit your ATG dispenser. If your dispenser is for 1/2 inch or other size you may require an adaptor piece. I am not sure how you find an adapter if needed however. I'm like you just a buyer. Hope it helps others who are searching for such answers. It is frustrating when sellers aren't clearer about what they are selling when other items are needed to use it such as this tape is specific to dispensers. I'm not aware of any dispenserbeing called an applicator but it could be considered as such. **Q: Is anyone else having trouble with the sticky part going the wrong way? My husband is even having trouble loading it!** A: Back in 2016 Scotch had a batch of these refills ship out with a manufacturing defect where and the adhesive was on thew wrong side of the tape. They replaced them whenever a customer called to complain. The manufacturing problem was fixed long ago and has not been an issue since. HOWEVER. even if you have a good roll, with no defects... it is possible to load it into the Tape Glider incorrectly which will cause the tape to come off with the sticky part coming off the paper on the wrong side of the roller.
