Review: Stick To That Weed - Did hours of research and this 80 percent Southern AG surfactant is the trick. Will buy a gallon next time. Instructions state 1-2 teaspoons. I used 2 with Tenacity, not Torocity. TS has a Farm one 90 percent with a counter agent like soap. Not recommended. You Tube has funny videos of lawn die/tracking agents such as Laser that cause blue Smurf hands and staining objects on ground. Clean up is bleach? No way. Like I said, hours of research to find amazing Blazon. Hard to find and a bit expensive. Gallon size in green at Forestry Sup... down south. Who wants a blue lawn? Australian video shows two guys on a golf coarse how it just washes off their hands with water. No nightmares with this staining. Take your revenge on the weeds!
Review: Easy to Mix and a Useful Addition to My Lawn-Care Supplies - I picked up this Southern Ag surfactant to use with compatible herbicides when the product label calls for a non-ionic surfactant. I wanted something straightforward that I could keep with my other lawn and property-maintenance supplies. The 16-ounce bottle is a convenient size and doesn’t take up much room. Measuring and adding it to my sprayer according to the label directions was simple. During application, I noticed the spray solution spread more evenly across the plant surfaces instead of immediately beading up in some areas. I’ve found it particularly useful when doing targeted weed treatments around the property. I appreciate that it’s concentrated, so I only use the amount specified for the particular application rather than adding more than necessary. It’s important to check the herbicide label first because not every product or application calls for an added surfactant. I always follow both product labels for the correct mixing rate, application instructions, and safety precautions. Overall, this is a practical product to have on hand if you regularly use herbicides that specify a non-ionic surfactant. It’s easy to measure, easy to mix, and the one-pint bottle is convenient to store. Five stars!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: what does surfactant do?**
A: Surfactant allow the liquid it's mixed with to stay on the surface of the water on the algae. Liquid soap does the same thing, but tends to develop suds.

**Q: Why would "AG" not include "sufactant" into their hercercides? Why must customers buy a separate product to make their herbicide more effective?**
A: Surfactant use is a little tricky. If you use too little your spray will bead up and roll off the leaf. If you use to much your spray can be less effective as well. If you have hard water, a little more surfactant is needed, if you have soft water a little less. Plants with waxy leaves (Ivy, clover) need a little extra surfactant. Mix your spray, spray the leaves.. If the spray beads up, add a little more until you get good coverage. Follow the directions on both the herbicide and the surfactant then adjust as needed.

**Q: I want to kill sumac - lots of it. i am using trichlorpyr 4 do i use this stuff and water? and if so, what mix in a 2 gal sprayer?**
A: Sumac like poison ivy its cousin is a woody plant and typical weed killer (broadleaf, crabgrass etc) won't work. I use Round-up's poison ivy specific formula and it works great. Cheaper is Brush-B-Gone which you buy and mix from the concentrate yourself. Both are very effective against these nasty poison ivy family thins. Just be very careful about overspray-- it will absolutely kill adjacent plants you may want.

**Q: how much do I mix per gallon of herbicide/water ?**
A: I purchased the surfactant product to use with Drive XLR8 Herbicide. The mixing volumes for the surfactant and herbicide per gallon of water are listed in the label directions. As I recall, the surfactant amount was 1 ounce/gallon and the herbicide was 2.5 ounces/gallon. You should google the surfactant product and check for a volume listing. Good luck!

Very good for adding to your pesticides or herbicides to make sure that it sticks to what you’re spraying it on and the price is here is way lower than it is at the big box stores
