Review: iPod Classic Gen 7 160gb Refurbished - Great item - looked and worked like new. Only a little disappointed it didn’t come in original apple packaging. However it was carefully packaged with sealed wrapper and bubble wrap and placed in generic boxing - which was also sealed. Review: works perfectly - This 7th Gen 160 Gb iPod classic is perfectly functional and is just like the original iPod I had 17 years ago. The hard drive is clearly brand new - you can check this using the onboard diagnostics of the ipod. Battery life seems as advertised. Really very happy with the product and the service. Seller was happy to answer my questions before buying. I am able to sync using itunes (but not media monkey for some reason). I have been able to subscribe to podcasts and buy songs from the store (like it's 20 years ago!). This ipod has the "genius playlist" function which I have not experienced before and works really well. ## Features - Product Type -MP3 PLAYER - Item Package Quantity -1 - Model - Ipod Classic 7th Gen - Storage - 160GB ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07RWP925P | | Battery Average Life | 36 Hours | | Best Sellers Rank | 54,876 in Electronics & Photo ( See Top 100 in Electronics & Photo ) 365 in MP3 & Digital Audio Players | | Brand | Apple | | Brand Name | Apple | | Colour | Black | | Compatible Devices | Laptop, Personal Computer | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 232 Reviews | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 1D x 6.1W x 10.4H centimetres | | Manufacturer | Apple Computer | | Manufacturer Part Number | A1238 | | Memory Storage Capacity | 160 GB | | Memory storage capacity | 160 GB | | Model Name | ipod classic | | Model name | ipod classic | | Product Features | Portable | | Product Warranty | 1 year limited warranty | | Screen Size | 2.5 Inches | | Screen size | 2.5 Inches | | Special feature | Portable | | Supported Standards | MP3 | | UPC | 683332182233 | ## Product Details - **Battery life:** 36 Hours - **Brand:** Apple - **Colour:** Black - **Compatible devices:** Laptop, Personal Computer - **Memory storage capacity:** 160 GB - **Model name:** ipod classic - **Product dimensions:** 1D x 6.1W x 10.4H centimetres - **Screen size:** 2.5 Inches - **Special feature:** Portable - **Supported standards:** MP3 ## Images ![Apple iPod classic 160 GB Black - 7th Generation (Renewed) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61I5cpqMAYL.jpg) ![Apple iPod classic 160 GB Black - 7th Generation (Renewed) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41NebZTUYhL.jpg) ![Apple iPod classic 160 GB Black - 7th Generation (Renewed) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/317fJ7aezqL.jpg) ![Apple iPod classic 160 GB Black - 7th Generation (Renewed) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31dc1JrMh+L.jpg) ![Apple iPod classic 160 GB Black - 7th Generation (Renewed) - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/419xTpyhyiL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is the Ipod Classic compatable with laptops with Windows 10 softwear** A: Yes - you need to download the latest version of Itunes for Windows 10 - then plug in your Ipod classic **Q: Will this work with iTunes being updated each time? And how many song roughly can you get on here please?** A: I have nearly 6,000 songs all in iTunes and when I connected it, it immediately thought it was my iPod and asked about synchronising. It took less than 30 mins to down load and my iPod was totally working. All artwork downloaded too. Space wise I have loads left so I would say you could easily get 20,000 tracks on the iPod but it would take longer to download. I updated my iTunes then I attached my old iPod which then failed so purchased this so when I attached my replacement it was connecting to latest iTunes version and worked perfectly well. Hope helps! **Q: I own an ipod classic and it doesn't work with latest version of itunes so how can you sell this still? it wont sync with itunes** A: I bought an iPod classic new in 2008, it still works with the latest version of iTunes (updated yesterday) on my old laptop **Q: Can i transfer music from my iphone?** A: If you have an iTunes library on your computer and you plug in an iPod or iPhone which have music in their iTunes playlists which don’t appear in your computers’ iTunes library it will give you the option to download these tracks. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ iPod Classic Gen 7 160gb Refurbished *by J***T on 6 July 2024* Great item - looked and worked like new. Only a little disappointed it didn’t come in original apple packaging. However it was carefully packaged with sealed wrapper and bubble wrap and placed in generic boxing - which was also sealed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ works perfectly *by J***X on 2 January 2025* This 7th Gen 160 Gb iPod classic is perfectly functional and is just like the original iPod I had 17 years ago. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome! However be aware this is Renewed *by C***W on 24 January 2023* Bought one after my old faithful iPod classic got drenched and after 15 years finally gave in so I bought myself one of these 'renewed' ones as a replacement. Currently very happy with the one that has arrived today. Works perfectly, just like my old faithful iPod. Haven't had chance to give it a proper day out to test the battery but the signs are really good so far. iPod itself feels like a brand new one. pristine, no scratches. 10/10. This would have been a 5/5 review, However. This was my second time buying a 'renewed' iPod from Amazon. The first iPod I recieved arrived and sadly the software of the iPod was for lack of a better term 'bricked' I couldn't get it to work, tried resetting it myself in multiple ways but the syncing with my itunes wether it was manual or auto, the music wouldn't transfer and it reset itself every time I unplugged it. So I sent it back. Thankfully, fully refunded pretty quickly and no hassle. After that I looked elsewhere for other MP3s players and outside of iPod's I couldnt find a current MP3 players that A. Held as much memory without spending extra to upgrade B. sync with my iTunes library (where all my music is currently digitally stored and organised) or C. Nothing that currently comes as close in price range for an MP3 player as reliable. So I took a gamble an re-ordered from Amazon. The reviews for this on here are mixed. I can vouch for both the good and bad experience with the Renewed iPod. Seller-wise however, I have zero complaints, both times the iPod arrived fast and very securely. It has to be appreciated that you are buying a 'Renewed' iPod. You take a chance that you may get one that isn't exactly brand new. Thankfully I seem to have found a very decent one on my second attempt. Very happy. ## Frequently Bought Together - Apple iPod classic 160 GB Black - 7th Generation (Renewed) - iGadgitz Black Genuine Leather Case Cover for Apple iPod Classic 80gb, 120GB & New 160gb launched Sept 09 + Belt Loop & Screen Protector - TECHGEAR USB Cable Compatible with Apple iPod Nano, Touch, Classic, Video & iPhone 3G 3Gs 4 4s & iPad 1 2 3 & others with 30 Pin Connectors - USB charging and sync cable lead --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/187684990-apple-ipod-classic-160-gb-black-7th-generation-renewed](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/187684990-apple-ipod-classic-160-gb-black-7th-generation-renewed) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
