They are very fine. And definitely permanent nothing takes it out of clothes when you accidently get a mark on cotton , does not come out with water soap, alcohol makes mark bleed out in fabric . But going over the reviews most can say that this is one of the better permanent pens out there. I agree it's color is bold and very easy to use on most paper. I haven't noticed any bleed through on Moleskin Journals. But I have not tried any other type of paper yet.
