Review: sound deadening liner - I used the material to quiet down and isolate noises from motors and transformers in my stereo equipment. One example is I lined the top, bottom and sides of my CD player and it created a noticeably more quiet and substantial metal box which I hope will translate to higher quality sound. This type of improvement is subtle in many applications so if you are trying to tease the absolute best sound out of your equipment this is one way without having to spend a fortune. The material comes in a roll similar to aluminum foil. I rolled it out and cut pieces to the correct size that I needed to apply to the inside of the CD player housing. Once cut to shape all I did was pulled the backing paper off the sticky side and pushed it onto the surface I wanted the material to be applied to. Fast and easy, no mess. The product showed up quickly and was rather large at 54 inches long. This roll took care of my CD player, preamp and amplifier. I had it why not use on all the equipment. When you tap on the top of these units it is dead sounding which gives the piece of equipment a feeling of substantial quality. When my CD players draw goes in and out it is noticeably quieter. I am very satisfied.

Dynamat was installed first then the dynaliner. The size of the dynaliner sheet worked well so that seams are hidden by the roof struts. **Q: I have a drone in my car would this help dampen the sound**
A: If the droning is coming from your exhaust, you're better off putting a mid muffler to get rid of the droning. I used it for the under hood to save the new paint job. It does a great job keeping the hood cool. As for noise, I only noticed a little reduction in decibels. Good luck.

**Q: I have a JL 10w6 facing the lift gate of my Tahoe behind the 3rd row. Will this help with vehicle rattle and license plate rattle if I cover the door?**
A: This product is to be used on top of the Dynamat so if you just use dynaliner. I don't think it will work as well.

**Q: What color is this? Silver or black?**
A: Mine was black

**Q: what is the temperature rating on this? Want to put in the engine room of my boat to deaden engine noise at the helm**
A: Dynaliner is for the inside cabin for under the carpet, behind the door panels, and behind the headliner. It's intention is more of a temperature isolation barrier and some higher frequencies deadening. You would have great results using the Dynamat pressed into the interior body of the engine compartment. I've used that on four cars and a van- you won't be disappointed.
*If you get a bulk pack of the Dynamat, get the 1-2 inch wooden application roller too, and apply it in 65-85 degree temps for best results.

I buld hot rods for a living, and this is the best stuff out there....period. I have tried Lizard Skin, Hush Mat, and others, but this is the one all the best builders use. Hell, I even used it around my dishwasher to make it ultra quiet. This stuff just flat works. It will make your car sound luxury car quiet. I use it when installing Flowmaster mufflers on street rods and muscle cars. On the outside, the car is loud and obnoxious, just the way I like em. But, inside, it is MUCH quieter for comfortable cruising. Try it, you will love it.
