I needed to shred a large amount of sheets of retired files. My office shredder has a container but was way too small for this job. So, I mounted portable shredder head over a large trash can with lawn bag liner. It worked perfectly through the whole job of 5 large lawn bags and is still working well. I will use it again next year and save my small cross-cut shredder in my office. Advertised as an 8 sheet shredder when it barely shreds a single sheet of premium bond folded once. The slot is only slightly wider than 8 1/2". Overheats and shuts off after about 5 sheets fed back to back. I don't know how it would do a credit card if it can't do a double sheet of paper. Constantly jamming and clogged. If you feed the paper off angle and it jams. Spent more time picking out paper shards and jams than I did actually shredding. I only got through maybe 2 dozen sheets tops. Motor is woefully undersized for the machine and the basic case is thin and flimsy. Will not buy again, and do NOT recommend.
