Pretty decent, but don't use on bumpy roads unless you are willing to spend $0.01 to fix its design flaw..

It's basically a flashlight -- what can go wrong? Well, the battery doesn't quite fit snugly enough - it's got a tiny bit of wiggle room, which means that when you hit a bump (I'm talking a bump even like a crack in the sidewalk), it loses contact with the battery for a tiny microsecond.. which ordinarily wouldn't be a problem, but on lights like this one, a quick momentary press of the power button (or a momentary loss of power) changes the light's mode of operation. So if you start out in "bright mode", when you hit a bump you'll switch to "dim mode" and then "flashing mode" on the next bump... It gets old having to go through all the modes after every bump to get back to the one you want..Fortunately there's a solution that only costs one cent (cash only - sorry, no credit cards!)... yes, just stick a penny into the unit before inserting the battery. The penny conducts electricity and closes the circuit between flashlight and battery, and the battery will now fit nice and tight. Bye-bye bump defect!!Otherwise, this light is adequate for most night riding.. It makes you pretty visible (especially in blinking mode) and gives you adequate lighting ahead of your bike if you don't ride too fast. I like that it can quickly be pulled from its mounting bracket and used as a regular flashlight (comes in handy when changing a tire on a dark road) or stowed out of sight when the bike is parked in public. The focusable beam is quite useful for quickly responding to changing light conditions, and the multiple modes let you save battery power if you don't need the bright beam. (I have a much brighter light of a different type that I use as my main light, so I use this one's flashing mode just to be visible to oncoming traffic.) There are two flashing modes: fast, and "SOS" (it blinks the Morse Code for "Save Our Ship" ... dot dot dot, dash dash dash, dot dot dot, pause, repeat) which I suppose would be useful if you are in danger and you are fortunate enough to catch the eye of a trained telegraph operator (to anyone who doesn't recognize Morse Code, which I would guess amounts to about 99.99% of the population, it would just appear to be a randomly flashing light).

    Not bad for the $

*by D***W on Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2016*

This light kit is ok for what it is and for the price. I have other cree t6 flashlights and this one was just ok. It seems like the knock offs are just getting worst and are made of cheaper quality parts. The button on the back when pressed seems flimsy, it moves in different directions, and doesn’t feel like a solid push button. The outer shell zoom lens extends and retracts way too easy, where you can extend the lens and place the button end on a table it will retract down. With that said, I highly doubt it’s waterproof. It might be weather proof with a slight sprinkle, but that’s it. I wouldn’t take this thing out in the rain. The brightness of the single “cree” bulb is great and will even work during the day.As for the other pieces, they are ok. Not bad at all. It comes with a weather proof case for easy storage. The case itself has a string tied through the 2 loops and for some reason I keep trying to close the clasp on it. It’s annoying, so I just removed the string. I’d recommend buying a rechargeable 18650 battery to keep this thing in top working as long as possible. Oh BTW, after long use it does get warm to the touch. Overall, it's not bad for the money.

    TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!

*by A***E on Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2016*

Both of the lights are awful. I've purchased hundreds of T6 LED lights and these are hands down the worst. If I tip it around the zoomable lens flops back and forth. It's brand new and if both are bad, then the whole batch is bad. Beware! When you jiggle it, it will flicker. And to confirm, I used different brand 18650 with the tube. Checked springs inside. But this is internal inside the components of the LED!! I purchased a 3rd one just to see. Never have I had a bad flashlight right out of the box. Will update soon.
